Forty-six concerts (the same as last year) are scheduled for Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks' 14th year, announced Sunday at a season reveal event at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks.

Despite chilly temperatures, festival-goers were out in abundance.

The free Blast Furnace Blues will be from 5-11 p.m. July 19 and from 2-11 p.m. July 20 on two stages, both outdoors: Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks and ArtsQuest Center’s Town Square.

Asia, the arena-rock band that rose from the ashes of progressive rock heavyweights Yes and Emerson, Lake and Palmer to have the hits "Heat of The Moment," “Don’t Cry” and "Only Time Will Tell," will perform at the event center at 8 p.m. July 13.

Starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25, ArtsQuest will have a 48-hour online Spring Cleaning sale for seven of this year’s 10 announced Musikfest headline shows on the main Steel Stage.

The Doobie Brothers, with four classic-lineup members, including its two singers, will perform at 8 p.m. Sept. 28 at Allentown’s PPL Center.

The 2nd Annual No Planet B Jamboree, featuring regional music acts Moustapha Noumbissi, Clover and Galen Deery & The Reason Why (formerly Mystik Fool), will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 21, in The Sun Inn Courtyard, 564 Main St., Bethlehem.

Singer and pianist Jim Brickman, who had two No. 1 Adult Contemporary singles in the early 2000s and is among the best-selling pianists of recent times, will perform a holiday concert at Allentown’s Miller Symphony Hall

Old Crow Medicine Show made a stop at Easton's State Theatre Saturday for their Jubilee Tour, playing 25 years of American roots hits with an energy all their own.

Blue October, best known for the 2006 platinum hits “Hate Me” and “Into The Ocean,” will play the event center at 6:30 p.m. July 27. It will be joined by Switchfoot, best known for its hits “Meant to Live” and "Dare You to Move,” and singer Matt Nathanson, best known for his 2008 hit “Come On Get Higher.”

"Rooted" is a collaboration between founders of Godfrey Daniels, Touchstone Theatre, Mock Turtle Marionette Theatre and the Bach Choir of Bethlehem. The public is invited to part of the filming on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Payrow Plaza.

David Archuleta is set to perform at Allentown Fair at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30. He will open for hit a cappella group Pentatonix at the fair's grandstand.

At the Allentown Fair grandstand on Thursday, the hyperactivity was dialed back a measure for Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour, and the kids — who made up about half the audience of perhaps 3,000 — were at least exposed to learning.

The group also will open for fellow 1970s rockers Cheap Trick as the grandstand feature for opening night at Allentown Fair at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Jayna Elise, who auditioned on "Idol" in both Season 21 in 2023 and Season 22 the past spring, recently was chosen for the role of Turner in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, which performs at Easton's State Theatre on Oct. 1-2.

The Hooters play Univest Performing Center in Quakertown at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23. The group performed to a nearly sold-out crowd in Quakertown last year.

Performances by tribute bands The Four Horsemen: A Celebration of Metallica on Aug. 30 and Strutter, a tribute to KISS, on Aug. 31 both will be free with fair admission. Maingate is adjacent to the fair and can be accessed from the fairgrounds at 17th and Liberty streets, Allentown.

Jonny Craig, the singer who led indie bands Dance Gavin Dance, Emarosa and Slaves, will perform at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Northampton's Gin Mill & Grille.

Musikfest, the largest non-gated music festival in the country, said it still had record crowds for its headline Steel Stage, and the most sold-out headline shows in its history.
