The Celtic Cultural Alliance, presenter of the Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival, vows to do "everything possible" to continue the event. Rainy weather severely impacted attendance and revenues during last month's event, casting uncertainty over its future.

Steve Earle, best known for his 1998 Top 10 Mainstream Rock hit "Copperhead Road," will perform a show titled "51 Years of Songs & Stories" Friday, Aug. 21, at Musikfest Cafe.

Let Freedom Sing will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at Allentown’s Coca-Cola Park. The IronPigs also will bring together adult, community and school choirs from the Lehigh Valley and surrounding counties.

Colombian band Grupo Niche, whose album "Cielo De Tambores" hit No. 3 on that chart, will perform at 6 p.m. July 30, as a preview night for the festival, which will run July 31-Aug. 9.

Listen to the Dissonance will return for a third year Friday, Feb. 27, at Charles A. Brown Ice House at 56 River St., Bethlehem. Performers will be vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Judah Kim, singer-songwriter Clover, songwriter-producer Barney Cortez and Nashville-based songwriter Patty PerShayla.
