BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A pop singer who in the early 2000s had two gold hits, a platinum album and frequently appeared on an MTV reality TV show will perform at Bethlehem's Harvest Fest next month.

Ryan Cabrera, who had the 2004 Top 10 Pop chart singles "On the Way Down" and "True," will perform at the free street fair, which runs noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Main and Broad streets.

Also performing at the festival will be Cunningham & Associates, We're From Antartica, The Audio Files and Seth Witcher.

The street fair is free; tickets to the tasting trails, at $35 per person for the Soup Trail, and $40 per person for the Beer and Wine Trails, are on sale now. Day-of ticket prices are $5 more.

Wine and beer trail participants must be 21 or older, and you must provide proof of age at registration – no exceptions. Participants cannot participate in both the wine and the beer trails.

Harvest Fest was created in 2006 as a small wine- and beer-tasting fall festival.

Harvest Fest, presented by The Downtown Bethlehem Association, is a street fair with retail vendors, artisans and wine, soup and beer-tasting trails.

When the street fest concludes at 5 p.m., downtown retailers will offer sales and discounts until 6 p.m., and an After Party will include discounts on food, drinks and more at downtown restaurants.

Harvest Fest even will have a Ryan Cabrera look-alike contest. You can register here.

Top 10 album, more hits

Promoter Tom Taylor of Tom Taylor Presents said Cabrera also will perform that night at Wind Creek Casino's Molten Lounge for a free, special After Harvest Fest party at midnight.

Cabrera's major label debut album "Take It All Away" in 2004 broke the Billboard Top 10 and sold platinum, and also produced the hit "40 Kinds of Sadness."

His sophomore disc, "You Stand Watching," also charted in the Top 25 and produced the Top 25 pop hit "Shine On."

His most recent album was 2008's "Moon Under Water," which also charted in Billboard's Top 200.

Cabrera, with his trademark spiked hair with frosted tips, frequently appeared on singer Ashlee Simpson's reality show "The Ashlee Simpson Show."

In 2005, Cabrera was host of the MTV series "Score," in which contestants wrote and performed songs to impress a guest on the show, and in 2010, he was on several episodes of MTV's "The Hills."

He also appeared in 2019 on "The Hills: New Beginnings."

Cabrera also took part in the My2K Tour — a troupe revival tour of acts such as 98 Degrees, Dream and O-Town that stopped at Sands Bethlehem Event Center — now Wind Creek Event Center — in 2016, and he performed at the former One Centre Square in Easton in 2019.
