There will be two “Twist & Shout” Musikfest Sunday Brunches in Hotel Bethlehem's Grand Ballroom — Aug. 4 and Aug. 11.

Wheatus, best known for its 2000 single “Teenage Dirtbag,” will perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22 in Musikfest Cafe at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, it was announced.

The celebration of the Isla del Encanto in Allentown was organized by the Puertorrican Culture Preservation and held on Sunday, July 28.

Musikfest 2024 begins with a preview night on Thursday. The 11-day festival will feature more than 422 artists and more than 500 concerts. Headliners include Greta Van Fleet, ZZ Top, Ludacris and Jowell & Randy.

College Hill PorchFest, a celebration of music and community across the Easton neighborhood, will return in September, with applications for performers and porches being accepted until July 31.

Tickets for the 50 shows in the new season go on sale to theater members at 10 a.m. Aug. 1 and to the public at 10 a.m. Aug. 8 at www.statetheatre.org, or at the box office at 453 Northampton St., Easton.

Erica Silver, a music teacher with the Allentown School District, is the youth chorale's newest conductor and Alaina Swartz is the new director of education and community engagement.

Diana Ross, who with The Supremes had a dozen No. 1 hits in the 1960s, then a half dozen more as a solo artist in the 1970s and ’80s, will perform at the center at 8 p.m. Oct. 18.

ArtsQuest, in partnership with Trans-Bridge Lines and Penn State University, on Monday announced a new satellite parking lot will be established at Penn State Lehigh Valley.

The opening night (the fest continues 2-11 p.m. today) offered New York gospel-blues trio The Harlem Gospel Travelers as headliners, and they offered an enthusiastic set. But it was some of the supporting acts that elevated the experience.

Clave Legacy Quintet, a faith-based jazz group, performed a free concert at the ArtsQuest Center’s Palette & Pour, previewing the Three Kings celebration scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 4.

Hopelessly Devoted to You, a tribute to Olivia Newton-John, one of the best-selling female artists of all time, will play Wind Creek Event Center on March 13. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19.

Herman’s Hermits, known for the hits “I’m Into Something Good,” “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter,” “Listen People” and “There’s a Kind of Hush,” will perform at Easton's State Theatre.

Taking Back Sunday, best known for its song “Cute Without the ‘E’ (Cut from the Team),” will headline Musikfest's main Steel Stage in August with Yellowcard.

AJR, a brother trio known for its hits "I'm Ready," "Weak," "Burn Down the House" and "Bang," will perform at Musikfest in August.

Easton's State Theatre will offer The Magical Music of Harry Potter: Live in Concert at 1 p.m.; The Music of The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and Rings of Power in concert at 4:30 p.m.; and The Music of Hans Zimmer & Others: A Celebration of Film Music, presented by a pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean at 8 p.m., all on April 19.

Sweet, opening for Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad, plays tonight at Penn's Peak, 325 Maury Road, Jim Thorpe. Tickets are still available online and at the box office.

Former Disney 'tween stars Aly & AJ at 7 p.m. March 26 will play at Allentown's Archer Music Hall. Tickets, the prices of which were not announced, will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12 at the Archer website and the box office at 939 Hamilton St., Allentown.

Kansas, the group that had the iconic hits songs “Carry On Wayward Son” and “Dust in the Wind,” will perform at Wind Creek Event Center at 8 p.m. May 29. And Aries Spears, who was a cast member on "Mad TV" from 1997-2005, will perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 12.

Country singer, songwriter and fiddler Alison Krauss will perform at Easton's State Theatre at 7:30 p.m. July 20.
