The Used had platinum albums with its first two releases — 2002's self-titled disc and 2004's "In Love and Death" — which together produced four Top 20 Alternative songs, including “Buried Myself Alive” and “Take It Away.”
It also hit platinum with its 2003 compilation disc “Maybe Memories” and gold with its 2007 live album "Berth."
Its last gold album was 2007's "Lies for the Liars," which hit No. 5 on Billboard's overall Albums chart and had the group's highest-charting single, the Top 10 Alternative hit "The Bird and the Worm."
In all, the band has released nine studio albums — the most recent of which was 2023's "Toxic Positivity."
It has had 14 songs hit the Top 40 on various rock charts. Its most recent was 2023's ”Giving Up," which peaked at No. 23 on the Alternative chart.
The Used also played the event center in 2023, and when it was called Sands Bethlehem Event Center, with Taking Back Sunday, in 2014.
Mascherino was guitarist for Taking Back Sunday 2003–07, then left to start the band The Color Fred. He also played with Say Anything and started another band, Terrible Things.
In 2025, he rejoined Taking Back Sunday to fill in for guitarist John Nolan.
