Ce-Ce Gerlach, a Democrat, will officially launch her campaign for state representative of the 22nd District at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, according to a news release.

The 173rd Great Allentown Fair opens Wednesday, Aug. 27, through Labor Day, Sept. 1. The fair features rides, food, concerts, and family fun at one of Pennsylvania’s oldest fairs.

Additional cleaning and air quality testing remain underway at Sheridan and Ritter elementary schools, Allentown School District said in an update Sunday.

In an email, Allentown School District said mold spores were found in several elementary school classrooms. Remedial action has been taken, the district said in a release, and the classrooms will be tested ahead of the first day of school.

In a petition filed Aug. 15, BusPatrol asked Lehigh County Court to overturn a decision by the state Office of Open Records, which ruled the district must provide an unredacted copy of the contract and related documents to LehighValleyNews.com within 30 days.

The Lehigh River was about 10 feet deep where the 28-year-old man's body was found, according to the Lehigh County coroner.

They will serve in districtwide administrative roles and as school building leaders.

Allentown school directors voted 7-0 Thursday to approve the project justification and design development for the school that will sit on the grounds of the former Allentown State Hospital property.

The 28-year-old, who was not immediately identified, jumped from the Tilghman Street Bridge around 12:40 p.m. Thursday, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.

Isiah Yeager, 25, is due to stand trial Oct. 20 — 28 months after he was charged with homicide in connection with a fatal stabbing at Synergy Hookah Lounge.
