Juneteenth Lehigh Valley will be celebrated with a week of festivities in 2023.

Several Lehigh Valley high school performing arts students took home Freddy Awards at the ceremony held Thursday, May 25 at the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Easton.

The festival, which runs May 31 - Aug. 6, features free performances of "A Midsummer's Night Dream" and ticketed classical and contemporary shows.

The enchanted fairy tale will be performed by 100 cast members at the Zoeller Arts Center.

The students will present their original scripts for the first time at a performance at Zoellner Arts Center on Friday, May 19.

The outdoor block party has been put off this year due to the rain and cold temperatures.

The Lehigh Valley Planning Commission clarified that the proposed South Side Bethlehem Cultural Arts Center isn't expected to meet LEED green certification in construction.

This weekend, the PPL Center in Allentown hosts Cirque du Soleil's "Corteo," the tale of a clown imagining his funeral as a spectacle of incredible carnival acts.

“Corteo,” which premiered in Montreal in April 2005, has performed before 10 million spectators in 20 countries on four continents. It will perform six shows March 28-31 at the PPL Center in Allentown.

The musical, based off the Broadway show, debuted on Friday, Feb. 23 and runs through March 10.
