Black Violin, Dark Star Orchestra, Sam Bush all set shows for Musikfest Cafe at ArtsQuest Center art SteelStacks.

An underutilized roller hockey rink at Jordan Meadows Park has been transformed into the Queen City’s first Mini-Pitch modular sports system focused on soccer.

Jamey Johnson, whose song "In Color" won Song of the Year from both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association in 2008, will perform at 6 p.m. Aug. 8 as part of the venue's Sounds of Summer concert series.

'Summer of Tiffany' at the museum opens Saturday, April 26, and features two 14-foot Tiffany memorial windows and a collection of 10 botanical lamps created by the iconic designer. Admission is free.

Lukas Nelson, son of country music icon Willie Nelson and leader of the popular country-rock band Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real, will perform Friday, July 18.

It was only the fourth time in Musikfest's 41-year history that a headline show has been ended because of weather — the first since 2012, when Musikfest stopped rock group Jane's Addiction from continuing after just 33 minutes because of lightning.

Gates for the headliner show now will open at 4 p.m. and the Old Dominion performance will begin at 5 p.m., the festival said in a release.
