BETHLEHEM, Pa. — It has almost a cinematic feel to it: A high-stakes contest pits the most talented in their specialty to have only the best walk away with a prestigious title and prizes.
That will be the story of ArtsQuest's new Movie Trivia Mayhem, a tournament-style movie trivia showdown set for 7 p.m. Aug. 16 at Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas in ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks.
"This isn’t your average trivia night," ArtsQuest said in a release.
"Movie Trivia Mayhem pits the region’s sharpest cinematic minds against one another in an electrifying battle of brains, deep cuts and box office brilliance."
Tickets, at $5 each, are available at the SteelStacks website or the box office at ArtsQuest Center, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem.Steelstacks.org
Competitors will face off in elimination-style tournament rounds that will get tougher as they progress. One will walk away with the title of Lehigh Valley’s Ultimate Movie Buff.
Prizes include two one-year film passes to Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas, a trophy "worthy of any Oscar shelf, and, of course, eternal bragging rights," the release says.
The audience will become part of the action, too, as attendees play along with interactive trivia games, bonus challenges and surprise giveaways.
