1. The Islamic congregation Shia Ithna Asheri Jamaat of Pennsylvania, or SIJPA, is building a new mosque at the Al-Ahad Islamic Center at 1500 Ridgeview Drive.

3. At least one doctor recently told Bethlehem Area School Board members that some football games in the Lehigh Valley were going without ambulance coverage.

4. Bethlehem officials indicated at a City Council meeting Tuesday that they are still interested in buying three city churches.

5. Lehigh University is now saying November's attack on a Black student was not racially motivated. President Joseph J. Helble said "racist language" was used, but did not elaborate on how the categorization of the attack had changed.

6. Bethlehem will be host for a new two-day running festival this year — the first in the city since 2019, city officials announced Thursday.

7. For the 10th time in 20 years, the League of Women's Voters of Lehigh County will host a workshop Saturday that's designed to teach potential political candidates how to run for local office.But for the first time, it'll have competition.

Among the bevy of sports items bid upon during an online auction at the IronPigs Charities Winter Caravan Thursday night at ArtsQuest Center were a framed autographed photo of Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham sacking Patriots quarterback Tom Brady during the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory, and an Eagles helmet autographed by Jalen Hurts.

8. About 450 people braved the chill and rain to attend IronPigs Charities’ annual Phillies Winter Caravan at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks on Thursday night.

9. A warehouse in South Whitehall Township may soon turn into a Walgreens center to fill prescriptions.The property at 4741 Chapmans Road now is partially vacant. Developers submitted a plan to turn the rest of the property into a Walgreens fulfillment center.
