National Day Calendar tells us that today is the winter solstice, which means we've officially reached the longest night and shortest day of the year. On the bright side, days will be getting longer for the next six months or so until we reach the summer solstice.
1. According to the National Weather Service in Mt. Holly, N.J. today should be mostly sunny with a high near 40. Increasing clouds tonight, with a low of 25 degrees, and storms ahead this week.
