NORTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. — Lehigh Valley Zoo's annual holiday lights attraction will return for a 37-date run, officials have announced.
The 12th annual Winter Light Spectacular, with 1.2 million holiday lights — which the zoo says is more than any other Pennsylvania attraction — will kick off Nov. 14 and run through Jan. 3.

General admission tickets remain at $16 for adults and $14 for ages 2-11 when bought in advance online and $2 more at the gate. Ages 1 and younger are free, as is parking.
It will be the sixth year for timed-ticketing sessions. The zoo said the modification has "significantly improved" traffic flow and parking availability.
Winter Light Spectacular will feature "classic holiday scenes, numerous photo opportunities, multiple fire pits, hot chocolate and so many other holiday treats," the zoo said in a release.
There will also be live performances every night featuring popular princesses such as Elsa, Anna, Ariel and Rapunzel. Additional promotions will be announced.
Picture packages with Santa Claus will be offered for sale during select event dates through Dec. 23.
While guests may spot some of the zoo’s “night owls” during the attraction. most of the animals will be off exhibit.
Hours and attractions
Hours will be:
- 5-9 p.m. Fridays and Sundays, and 5-10 p.m. Saturdays through Nov. 30
- 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday Dec. 3-4 and Dec. 10-11 and Monday and Tuesday Dec. 15 and 16
- 5-10 p.m. Fridays through Sundays, Dec. 12-Jan. 3 and Mondays through Thursdays through Dec. 30.
- It won't be held Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
Winter Light Spectacular is the zoo's largest annual fundraiser. Revenue from the event supports animal conservation projects and programs at the zoo.
The attraction has been featured in USA Today newspaper's “Holiday light displays worth traveling for across America.”
Limited VIP Tickets are $35 for adults and $32 for ages 2-11 in advance and $2 more at the gate.
VIP ticket include access to the Jingle Lodge Lounge to warm up from the cold, a souvenir travel tumbler, unlimited hot chocolate, a hot chocolate toppings bar, a S’more kit, a commemorative 2025 ornament for all VIP Adults and a light-up pop tube for children.
