Trans-Bridge is expanding service from Lehigh Valley International Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Trans-Bridge Lines soon will expand service to Newark Liberty International Airport from the Lehigh Valley, it was announced Tuesday.

The move comes in direct response to United Airlines' recent termination of Landline bus service between Lehigh Valley International Airport and Newark Airport, a release said.

The expanded runs between the Allentown area and Newark will begin Monday, Sept. 8.

With two new shuttle connections, the Trans-Bridge website now shows six eastbound runs from LVIA at the following times on weekdays: 4 a.m., 7:40 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 12:20 p.m., 2:10 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The website also shows five eastbound departures on weekends. They will be at 4 a.m., 7:35 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 11:35 a.m. and 5:50 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Fares each way will cost $54.45.

Service also resumes to Bayonne

Trans-Bridge also announced it will resume bus service to the Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, New Jersey.

It said that move was in response to numerous customer requests, as travelers seek reliable transportation to their cruise vacations.

“Listening to the needs of our passengers has always been at the heart of our operations,” said Trans-Bridge President Tom JeBran, in the release.

“With the need for reliable airport transportation and requests for service to Cape Liberty Cruise Port, we are proud to step in and provide these options.

“Our goal is to keep the Lehigh Valley and surrounding communities connected to the destinations they most use.”

The reinstated Cape Liberty Cruise Port service also will begin Sept. 8.

Schedules and ticket information are available on the Trans-Bridge Lines website at www.transbridgelines.com.

Passengers can purchase Newark Airport tickets online from the company’s website and Pier Transportation to Bayonne may be reserved by calling 610-868-6001.
