Almost $950,000 of funding for emergency services in Lehigh and Northampton counties announced

EMS personnell from Cetronia Ambulance Corps still suit up in personal protective gear when there is a chance of being exposed to COVId.

The 2022-23 Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services (FCEMS) Grant Program, which is administered by the Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC) has awarded grants to 70 fire and EMS programs across Lehigh and Northampton Counties. the maximum award for fire was $15,000 and the maximum award for EMS was $10,000.

All funding comes from the proceeds from slot machine gaming, according to a release. Projects eligible for funding include construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair of equipment, training, or reduction of existing debt.
