HARRISBURG, Pa. - “Many people are also facing the loss of a home or an apartment, and there's absolutely no way that any Pennsylvanian under any circumstance should struggle for housing.”

Wolf has called for $100 million in CARES funding for rent relief and another $100 million in grants to help Pennsylvanians cover their utility bills.

He also says he wants to cancel any requirements that renters have to be behind by at least a month to receive assistance.

Wolf's statewide moratorium on evictions and foreclosures lapsed at the end of August. He says he doesn't have the legal authority to extend it.

According to the Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania, 400,000 Pennsylvania residents may be facing the risk of eviction.  Advocates say without stable housing lives the Pennsylvania economy will suffer.
