The Allentown School District will close Tuesday "out of an abundance of caution" in the lead up to former President Donald Trump's rally at the PPL Center.

Crayola Creativity Week will include a wide array of special programming featuring actors, musicians, artists, scientists, and more, all aiming to promote utilizing a creative touch in every part of life.

The site has porta potties and trailers for equipment storage. A proper field house will replace all of that.

After plenty of tours and meetings, representatives from Alloy 5 came to Easton Area School District to present some key findings and potential sites for the prospective new high school.

Allentown Education Association President Leslie Franklin spoke during this week's Allentown School Board meeting about the need for better workplace conditions for teachers, including additional school supplies and building repairs.

A bill in the state Legislature proposes to fix the problems that have put a pause on enforcement in places like Allentown and Bethlehem. And the program will expire in October unless new legislation is passed.

Allentown and Bethlehem Area school districts both get Level Up funding, which is on hold until lawmakers approve a fiscal code determining how the funds are spent.

Via of the Lehigh Valley, Bethlehem's nonprofit, has been awarded $157,750 in tax credit funds from 14 local businesses through the EITC program.

The plan to bring in-house the routing of bus runs to start with 2023-24 school year was designed to save the Allentown School District money.

Lower Saucon Township Council on Wednesday recognized notable academic and athletic achievements of local students.

Sources with information about the situation say Cheryl Clark will likely be demoted at Thursday's Allentown school board meeting. She was placed on administrative leave in April.

The Allentown school is looking for barbers, stylists and braiders to help students look their best for picture day on Oct. 13.

The awards recognize the students' academic records, leadership skills and commitment to community.

Starting this summer, the Bethlehem Police Department will use stop-arm cameras to capture and enforce illegal school bus passing in its jurisdiction.
