EASTON, Pa. — A 3-year-old boy who was rescued from drowning in a home swimming pool in Northampton County on July 3 has died, according to release from the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Forensic Center.
Colonial Regional Police Department was dispatched about 10 a.m. July 3, to the home regarding a young boy who reportedly was drowning, according to the release.

The child was removed from the pool, and CPR was performed before he was taken to the Lehigh Vally Hospital-Cedar Crest.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 12:28 a.m. Monday, July 7, according to the release.
And autopsy conducted by the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office on Friday determined the cause of death to be complications due to drowning, county Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said.
Buglio ruled the manner of death an accident.
“As I type this, my heart aches for the parents, family, and friends of the child. My entire office joins me in offering thoughts, prayers, and condolences,” Buglio stated in a release.
“I will not be releasing the child’s name or the community where the incident took place. I hope that both the media and the public will support this decision and respect the family’s wish to mourn this tragic loss privately.”
