Pennsylvania State Police continue their investigation Friday, Sept. 15, 2023 into a double homicide that occurred the day before on the 1100 block of Railroad Street in North Catasaqua.

  • Authorities identified the victims as Rosalyn Glass, 39, and her 16-year-old daughter Rianna
  • Police said they charged Rianna's former boyfriend, 17-year-old John D. Bradley, in the killings
  • State police identified 69 items recovered from the house during a search

NORTH CATASAUQUA, Pa. — State troopers investigating the killing of a mother and her teen daughter in the borough seized electronics, stain samples, bedding and clothing from their home, according to court documents.
An inventory from the search warrant was returned to district court Friday.

Authorities obtained the warrant after finding the bodies of Rosalyn Glass, 39, and 16-year-old Rianna Glass in their home in the 1100 block of Railroad Street on Sept. 14.

Police charged Rianna Glass’ former boyfriend, 17-year-old John Derwin Bradley of North Whitehall Township, with two counts of criminal homicide and auto theft.

He is being held without bail in Northampton County Prison, according to court records.

State police identified 69 items they recovered from the house. Among them were hair, a tooth and a bathroom sink trap, according to the inventory.

Bradley was scheduled for a preliminary hearing Thursday, but a continuance was requested and granted, court records show.

The court paperwork did not identify an attorney for Bradley, who turns 18 on Dec. 25.

Electronics removed from the home included two iPhones, a router and modem, an Apple watch, a Chromebook and an iPad.

Prosecutors said Bradley fatally strangled and stabbed Rianna Glass, a Northampton Area High School junior, and fatally stabbed her mother.

Rianna Glass and Bradley had broken up in August, and she informed him the night before the attack that she was entering a new relationship, authorities said.
