ALLEN TWP. — The American Red Cross is assisting dozens of residents displaced by a fire that tore through a Northampton County apartment complex Friday afternoon.
Thirty-eight people from 16 apartments are in need of temporary living quarters after the blaze at The Residences at Willow Ridge in the 400 block of Harrison Court, according to the Pennsylvania Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross.

The blaze broke out about 12:30 p.m. during a thunderstorm, but a cause has not been established.
A Red Cross Disaster Action Team responded to the call around 2:30 p.m. Friday. The agency is assisting affected people with temporary lodging, food, clothing and other immediate needs, the Red Cross said in a news release.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, which drew firefighters from Northampton and Lehigh counties.
