PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Jahan Dotson is coming home.
Dotson, the star wide receiver from Penn State and Nazareth Area High School, was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles by the Washington Commanders.
The Eagles announced the deal Thursday.
Washington traded Philadelphia Dotson and a fifth-round pick in exchange for a third-round pick and two seventh-round picks — all in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The trade brings another dynamic receiver into the Philly fold. The Eagles already have stars A.J. Brown and DaVonta Smith as primary targets for quarterback Jalen Hurts.
It also brings another local scholastic football star back home. Besides Dotson, the Eagles earlier this year acquired former Whitehall star running back Saquon Barkley.
Dotson starred at Andrew S. Leh Stadium for the Nazareth High Blue Eagles and graduated from Nazareth in 2018. He was an All-American in his final season with Penn State.
He's entering his third year in the NFL.
Last season he caught 49 passes for 518 yards and four touchdowns with the Commanders. As a rookie in 2022, he recorded 35 catches for 523 yards and seven touchdowns.

He was taken by the Commanders as the 16th overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
He had one of the best games of his career last season against the Eagles in the Eagles' 38-31 win over the Commanders at FedEx Field, recording eight catches for 108 yards and a touchdown.
