BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Singer Tom Jones, whose six-decade career has included chart-topping hits such as “It’s Not Unusual” and “What’s New Pussycat?” in the 1960s, “She’s a Lady” in the 1970s and a cover of Prince’s “Kiss” in the 1980s, will return to Wind Creek Event Center, the venue has announced.
It will be just the second time in 18 years that Jones has played the Lehigh Valley.

Jones, who has had more than two dozen Top 30 hits on pop, rock, R&B, country and dance charts, will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13.

Jones, who turned 84 this month, emerged as a robust baritone vocalist in the mid-1960s with a string of hits that also included “Delilah” and “Green, Green Grass of Home.” In 1966, he received the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.
He also sang the themes to the movies “What’s New Pussycat?” and the James Bond film “Thunderball.”
TV, country, Vegas and 'Kiss'
Jones also had a successful television variety show, “This is Tom Jones,” from 1969-71 and in 1970 won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy series.
In 1976, he had a No. 1 country hit with “Say You’ll Stay Until Tomorrow,” also crossed over to No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100.

He became a regular attraction in Las Vegas, and in 1988 had a career resurgence with his cover of Prince’s song “Kiss” with Art of Noise in 1988.
In all, Jones has released 40 studio albums and 25 live and compilation albums, eight of which charted in the Top 30 and four in the Top 10, with 10 selling gold or platinum. His most recent disc — his first in six years — was “Surrounded By Time” in 2021.
Jones last performed in the Lehigh Valley at the event center, then called Sands Bethlehem Event Center, in 2017. Before that, his last Lehigh Valley concert was in 2006 at Easton’s State Theatre. He also played the State in 2000 and in 1991.
