Grimes faces charged of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and possessing instruments of crime.
He was arraigned before a district judge, who denied bail, according to a release from the Northampton County District Attorney's office.
A preliminary hearing on the charges is set for July 23.
Bethlehem Police said that after its Emergency Response Team searched Grimes's home in the 600 block of the same street that evening, it was reported he was at large.
Authorities said a man with the victim at the time of the shooting said he and Grimes knew one another and even had a prior conflict.
That day, the victim was reported to be in stable condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the neck.
