BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A former teen idol who later performed on Broadway and created and produced several television series will perform at Musikfest Cafe at ArtsQuest Center, it was announced Wednesday.
Shaun Cassidy, known for 1970s chart-topping gold pop hits "That's Rock 'n' Roll," "Da Doo Ron Ron" and "Hey Deanie," will perform at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26.

Cassidy, 66, a son of Tony Award-winning actor Jack Cassidy and Academy Award winner Shirley Jones, followed his half-brother David Cassidy as a teen pop star.
He released his self-title debut album in 1977, and it climbed to No. 3 on the albums chart and achieved platinum sales, with "That's Rock 'n' Roll" hitting No. 3 and "Da Do Ron Ron" hitting No. 1.
His sophomore album, "Born Late," also released in 1977, peaked at No. 6 but also sold platinum.
His final charting album was 1978's "Under Wraps," which peaked at No. 33 and produced no hits, but also sold platinum.
Writing, producing, back to music
Cassidy turned to acting, starring in the ABC-TV series "The Hardy Boys Mysteries" 1977-79, and "Breaking Away" 1980-81.
He also performed on Broadway and appeared opposite David Cassidy in the Broadway production of "Blood Brothers."
Cassidy later wrote the pilot for the television show "American Gothic," which ran 1995-96 on CBS-TV, and since has written or produced more than 20 television series.
He most recently was writer and executive producer of the NBC-TV medical drama "New Amsterdam," 2018-23.
In 2021, he took his one-man show "The Magic of a Midnight Sky" to the stage for his first live music performance in almost 40 years.
