BETHLEHEM, Pa. — In recognition of Community Action Lehigh Valley's commitment to improving the quality of life across the Lehigh Valley, Wells Fargo recently presented the community group with a $100,000 grant.
The money will support CALV's housing counseling, financial coaching, small business and neighborhood revitalization programs, Wells Fargo said this week in a written announcement.
“Wells Fargo’s commitment to community enrichment is exactly the kind of partnership that helps Community Action to do the great work that we do."Dawn Godshall, executive director of CALV
The financial organization chose Musikfest 2023 as the venue in which to present its support because the annual music festival is a celebration of art, community and partnership, it said.
"We extend our heartfelt thanks to Wells Fargo for their transformative grant to Community Action Lehigh Valley,” said Dawn Godshall, CALV's executive director.
“Wells Fargo’s commitment to community enrichment is exactly the kind of partnership that helps Community Action to do the great work that we do," Godshall said.
Part of the gift is part of a six-year $300,000 grant from Wells Fargo via the state of Pennsylvania Neighborhood Partnership Program (PNPP), which is a tax credit program that encourages businesses to invest in projects which improve distressed areas.
"Wells Fargo takes action to put people and communities first and has long supported Community Action Lehigh Valley,” said Laura Haffner, Wells Fargo's Greater Pennsylvania regional branch network executive.
“They make our community stronger, and we are proud to support them in their efforts,” Haffner said.
