MACUNGIE, Pa. — In a month in which those who responded to the 9/11 attacks are honored, an area resort is extending its thanks.
Bear Creek Mountain Resort in Longswamp Township throughout September is offering all responders complimentary breakfast and a special hotel rate.
“We are deeply grateful for the dedication and sacrifices our first responders make to keep our communities safe,” Bear Creek General Manager Erin Visco said.
"As a small token of our appreciation, we are proud to welcome all first responders."
The offer is available to all firefighters, EMTs, paramedics and law enforcement personnel.
First responders can reserve a room on the resort website. The offer is valid Sunday through Thursday and subject to availability.
Its Trails End Cafe is open 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday – Sunday.
In addition to its seasonal attraction as a ski resort, the 400-acre Bear Creek Mountain Resort is a four-season resort amenities such as pools, hot tubs, axe throwing, archery, giant swing and festivals.
