Former legislator and president of LCCC died at age 71 on March 4, 2023.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Some days just don't lend themselves to a light and breezy intro proclaiming that it's National Cereal Day, even if it is.
Today is one of those days.

1. Sad news today: former legislator and president of Lehigh Carbon Community College, Don Snyder, has died. He will be remembered well by tens of thousands of students who passed through the Schnecksville doors over the years. He was also a former board member at Lehigh Valley Public Media, parent of LehighValleyNews.com.

2. Cloudy and breezy today after whatever that was last night. It should be cloudy this morning according to the National Weather Service at Mt. Holly, NJ, but should clear up and warm up to about 44 degrees. Tonight we could see more clouds and a low around 26 degrees.

3. Northampton County District Attorney Terry Houck announced the new Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force that will focus on arresting adults using the internet to seek sex with minors.

4. Experts agree Trader Joe's is on its way to the Lehigh Valley sooner, rather than later. 😍

5. Have you tried our news quiz? Give it a try! We also have a new crossword and word puzzle every day. You'll find them all under Distractions.

Be well. Thanks for reading.
