Heads up! Here are 5 things you don't want to miss today

Rabbit, rabbit! Good morning, good new month, good November to you. Our Stephanie Sigafoos says it should be warmer than usual this month, so good for us. Nothing yet on that four-letter word that begins with s and ends with n-o-w. ❄⛄👀

1. Warmer, maybe, but the National Weather Service at Mt. Holly, N.J., says it could get a little damp today with its prediction of a 30% chance of showers. The high temps should be around 68 degrees, according to the forecast.

2. Access to health care and behavioral health resources are the two major needs of Lehigh Valley community members, according to the latest Community Health Need Assessment recently conducted by St. Luke's University Health Network. The report also found that people who earn less money were more harshly impacted by COVID-19.

3. Touchstone Theatre's co-founder Bill George will kick off the new season with "Odysseus," a production he wrote and also in which he stars. The production follows the homeward journey of Odysseus, a husband, father and son, and the struggles during his journey.

4. Our election coverage continues with a couple stories about the race between Lehigh County Controller Mark Pinsley and Parkland School Board member Jarrett Coleman: Pennsylvania’s 16th Senate District race features a fiscal conservative pushing for school choice programs and a progressive who wants to reform the criminal justice system. The two squared off in a debate on Oct. 31.

5. Coming up: Sen. Pat Browne has secured funding for the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown and more.
