It's officially Halloween today,🎃🎃 though it seems like we've been celebrating it for awhile now. Don't blink: it'll be Christmas Eve before you know it. For today:
1. The National Weather Service at Mt. Holly, NJ, predicts a cloudy day with the chance of some showers later on and a high temp of 63 degrees. You might just get to keep all that candy for yourself if the trick-or-treaters get rained out.
2. And speaking of Halloween, Allentown's new way of celebrating the holiday seems to have been a big hit. Folks in Alburtis enjoyed their celebration, too.
3. Lowhill Township residents are fighting plans to build warehouses in their community. It remains to be seen whether they will prevail.
4. ICYMI: Did you know there's an organization dedicated to making sure new foster parents get everything they need to care for their new kiddos? They're helping so many people that they're opening a second facility.
5. Coming up: We haven't even mentioned the election! Only a week and a day to go. We give an update on the race between Lehigh County Controller Mark Pinsley and Parkland School Board Director Jarrett Coleman as they campaign to represent much of Bucks and Lehigh counties in the state senate.
