ALLENTOWN, Pa. – After months of campaigning, commercials, ads and weeks of early voting, the day to decide has come and gone.
We asked the Lehigh Valley Humane Society to send us their most experienced and asnoot cats and dogs to run for the MAP (Most Adoptable Pet) award. These animals have been living at the shelter the longest and we felt like they deserved their very own platforms to help them find their furever homes. These candidates won't fight like cats and dogs.

Hello! I’m Courtney. I am about 2 years old. I am one of the shelter’s longest feline residents, and I am currently available for adoption at the PetSmart on Union Boulevard! I came into the shelter with a litter of kittens who have all been adopted. Now it’s my turn to find a home! I am a very friendly lady and I would love to be your next best friend!
My name is Gordita. I’m approximately 3 years old and about 54 lbs. I’m a social girl who LOVES being outside! I enjoy going for walks and getting fresh air. I love being the center of attention; people are my favorite. I like yummy treats and playing with toys. I think people would describe me as a people person (or dog) since I’m such a social butterfly! Oh, and my adoption fee is paid!

My name is Fernanda. I’m approximately 5 years old and 45 lbs. I’m a bit shy at first but I open up quickly with love! I love being outside, walks and playtime are my favorites! I’m a smart girl who’s working on being top of my training class. I am the dog training team’s favorite choice for doing the agility course! I love treats, they’re the key to my heart. A home without cats would be perfect for me! I think people would describe me as sweet and free-spirited!
