BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Lehigh Valley may be healthier than it was decades ago, but what does that mean for the future?
Tonight, PBS39 will broadcast an hourlong program “A Community Conversation: Path to a Healthier Valley.” It starts at 6 p.m. and can also be watched streaming online at PBS39.org.
Hosted by LehighValleyNews.com health and wellness reporter Brittany Sweeney, the program examines the health factors and risks that set the Lehigh Valley apart.
Topics discussed by a range of physicians, experts and advocates include lifestyle medicine, life expectancy, healthy aging and blue zones where people live extraordinarily long lives.
Guests include:
- Dr. Andrew Goodbred, a family physician at St. Luke's University Health Network;
- Cathy Coyne, associate professor of practice in public health at Moravian University;
- Carmen Bell, senior director of healthy aging, United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley;
- Monica Arrowsmith, a consultant with Blue Zones Project Lehigh Valley; and,
- Dr. Robert Murphy, executive vice president and chief physician executive at Lehigh Valley Health Network.
