ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Saturday might be a bit rainy, but a brand-new interactive health and wellness festival wants to bring sunshine to town.
ROOTED, which will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 3 at Cedar Beach Park in Allentown, will feature dancing, yoga, fresh eats and community celebration.
But don’t forget an umbrella, just in case.

Presented by the city, Allentown Chamber of Commerce and the Blue Zones Project, ROOTED will aim to energize and uplift the community with a full lineup of family-friendly activities, inspiring workshops, live music, hands-on demos and a curated vendor market filled with vintage finds, wellness services and delicious food.

Festival highlights include a Mindfulness and Movement Zone with free yoga, dance and fitness demos for people of all levels of experience.
There also will be live music by The Breen Planet Band at the festival stage, chalk art and chalk murals with local artist Hector Castro and free pickleball.
Workshops, vendors and more
There will be workshops and demonstrations, including Fit in Finance with First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union; free plant Bingo by Sterner’s Stems, with free prizes; a Da Vinci Science Center Animal Show; and a Vitality Natural Healthcare Center Kids Zone with games, crafts and more.
Food vendors will include La Cocina del Abuelo, Bananarama, Island Noodles, Paranormal Pizza, Tiki Bowls, Mediterranean King, Kou Kitchen and The Bake-A-Re.
Also, Nowhere Coffee Co., Allentown Food and Veggie Truck, Hany Honey, Passanante’s Home Food Service and Los Monstruos Pina Colada.
Offering up vintage fashion and retail shopping opportunities will be Vintage Fatale, Treasure My Roots, Quick Pick, Yung Esau’s Vintage, Double Happiness Vintage, Assembly88 and Quick Pick.
Featuring health and wellness options will be Health2You, Cancer Support Community LV, Blue Zones, GYMGUYZ, Allentown Medical Massage and 1COR6:19 Fitness.
Also, LifeWave, Patient First, Oak Street Health, Steel Fitness Premier, Lotus Wellness Studio and more.
