New LVHN wellness officer aims to mitigate burnout among doctors

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Lehigh Valley Health Network has a new chief wellness officer.

Dr. Amy Jibilian has been appointed to the position to oversee wellness for both LVHN and its affiliated physician hospital organization, Valley Preferred.

“It is a great honor and privilege to be selected to serve my colleagues in this incredibly important position of Chief Wellness Officer,” Jibilian said in a written release.

“I am excited to be part of an outstanding team of individuals committed to reducing burnout for clinicians, promoting well-being, and restoring joy in the daily practice of medicine.“

As part of her duties, Jibilian will lead the team in developing, implementing and evaluating programs and protocols that contribute to a healthy work environment and avoid burnout among physicians.

    Jibilian previously was the Wellness Representative to the department of pediatrics and Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital.
    The chief wellness officer position was created in 2018 as a resource for encouragement to providers.
