BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A free health care clinic with comprehensive medical, dental and vision services will be open this weekend at Bethlehem Area Schools' Northeast Middle School.

The services at the school, at 1170 Fernwood St., will be first-come, first-served with no ID or insurance required, according to a news release from event care provider Remote Area Medical.

The parking lot is planned to open no later than midnight each day, Dec. 6-7; doors open at 6 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

“RAM’s clinics are a lifeline for underserved communities, offering free dental cleanings, dental fillings, dental extractions, dental X-rays, eye exams, eye health exams, eyeglass prescriptions, eyeglasses made on-site, women's health exams, and general medical exams,” the release said.

“Mammograms and vaccines will also be available."

The parking lot is planned to open no later than midnight each day, Dec. 6-7; doors open at 6 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Closing time each day will depend on patient capacity, according to the release.

Arrive 'as early as possible'

RAM said that, because of time constraints, potential patients should be prepared to choose between dental and vision services, and all patients are offered general medical care.

“In some situations, outside of RAM’s control, such as inclement weather, volunteer cancellations or other circumstances, the parking lot may open earlier, or a smaller-than-anticipated number of patients may be served," it said in the release.

Over the past four decades, RAM has provided its free services to more than 1 million people across 1,600 clinics.

“RAM encourages everyone who would like services, especially dental services, to arrive as early as possible.”

Organizers said to bring something to eat and drink, as well any medication needed. Bathrooms will be available on site.

RAM, a Tennessee-based nonprofit specializing in clinical care in a pop-up format, and humanitarian-aid nonprofit and event host Global Hope International out of Nazareth, have partnered to bring the clinic to town.

Over the past four decades, RAM has provided its free services to more than 1 million people across 1,600 clinics, according to its website.
