HARRISBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania saw another spike in COVID-19 numbers Monday with more than 9,000 new cases reported over the weekend.

More than 96,000 people have been hospitalized with COVID statewide this month.

The last time new daily case counts were this high was in April.

Northampton and Lehigh counties together added 460 new cases over the weekend - bringing the total to more than 4,000 since the beginning of the month.

Cases for children have also increased. Last week, the CDC reported a 62% increase in the number of children ages 0 to 17 who tested positive.

More than 65% of adults in Pennsylvania are fully vaccinated.
