BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Brad Klein reviews the week’s astronomical highlights with Bethlehem’s "Backyard Astronomy Guy," Marty McGuire.
This week we talk about how best to view the International Space Station from Earth.
There will be good opportunities all this week, just after sunset.
To know where and when to look, McGuire suggests visiting the web site that NASA set up for just that purpose.
There is also information there about how to download a Spot the Station mobile app to your phone.
McGuire notes that at its brightest, the ISS, “is the third brightest object in the sky, after the Sun and Moon. It travels at 17,500 mph.
"And the astronauts on board get to see 16 sunrises and sunsets,” every 24 hours.
