‘Quite warm by October standards’
Quiet weather conditions will dominate the week, with above-average temperatures for early October.
According to the National Weather Service, it’s due to an expansive area of high pressure over the region that will slowly shift toward the coast.
So where's the cool autumn weather? Early Oct is just an extension of Sept for our area with mild to warm afternoons and cool mornings. Normal temps will begin to fall more substantially by late Oct & Nov. We'll lose over an hour of daylight through Nov 1. #PAwx #NJwx #DEwx #MDwx pic.twitter.com/rPut7F0zoY

The latest forecast discussion says to expect daytime highs in the low to mid 80s Monday through Wednesday, and in the upper 70s on Thursday.
Dew points will also be in the lower 60s early this week, “making it feel quite warm by October standards.”
It will turn much cooler over the weekend, forecasters say, with chances for rain Friday into Saturday as a couple of cold fronts move through the area.
