BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The two Democrats seeking their party's nomination for Northampton County executive went head-to-head Wednesday night.
County Controller Tara Zrinski and Amy Cozze debated at the Univest Public Media Center on the SteelStacks campus.
The moderators were LehighValleyNews.com reporters Tom Shortell and Ryan Gaylor.
The hourlong debate streamed live on LehighValleyNews.com, on LehighValleyNews.com’s Facebook account, and on the PBS39 YouTube channel.
Republican Tom Giovanni, a county commissioner, is unopposed on the Republican ballot.
The primary election is Tuesday, May 20.
Lehigh Valley Public Media will hold one more debate next week. The Lehigh County executive debate will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, also at the Univest Public Media Center.
Participating will be the two Republicans on the ballot — Mike Welsh and Roger MacLean.
