Vice President JD Vance is reportedly set to visit the Lehigh Valley.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — On the heels of President Donald Trump’s stop in the region, Vice President JD Vance also is expected to travel to the area next week, according to reports.

The Associated Press, CNN and other outlets say the vice president is expected to give a speech in Allentown in the vein of Trump’s remarks Tuesday night.

The AP said Vance’s remarks will focus on the economy and aim to assure voters that the administration is working to address inflation, according to his office.

There was no date or location announced for Vance's visit.

A focus on the economy

Trump delivered a rosy outlook on the economy during a rally at Mount Airy Casino Resort on Tuesday.

In the 90-minute address, Trump highlighted what he viewed as signs of progress that Washington Republicans have delivered over the past year, saying the price of eggs has fallen and gas costs have stabilized.

"We're doing great," Trump said.

While belittling Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, the president said the United States is raking in trillions from tariffs, and the One Big Beautiful Bill Act will deliver tax relief for millions of Americans.

On Wednesday, the Federal Reserve lowered interest rates a quarter of a percentage point, shifting them to a range of 3.5% to 3.75%.

It was the fourth straight vote not backed by all members of the 12-person Federal Open Market Committee, the New York Times reported, underscoring the central bank was grappling with the risk of rising unemployment and inflation.
