Northampton County makes ballot drop-off boxes available

  • Four secure ballot drop-off boxes will be available throughout Northampton County
  • One will be available in each of the county's four districts
  • They will be available beginning Oct. 5 for the Nov. 7 general election

EASTON, Pa. — Four secure ballot drop-off boxes placed across Northampton County will begin accepting mail-in ballots on Thursday, Oct. 5.

Applications for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballots are available in the Elections Office or at Mail-in and Absentee Ballot (pa.gov) or Absentee and Mail-In Voting (northamptoncounty.org).

The last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 31.

None of the drop-off locations will require walking through security, county officials said in a written announcement.

Locations include:

Northampton County Courthouse Rotunda, 669 Washington St., Easton

8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday
While dropping off a ballot, voters can park for free in the loading-and-unloading zone on Washington Street in front of the Courthouse or use the parking lot at the intersection of Wolf Avenue and Washington Street.

Northampton County Human Services Building, 2801 Emrick Blvd., Bethlehem

8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday

Northampton County 911 Center, 100 Gracedale Ave., Nazareth

8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday

Bethlehem City Hall, 10 E. Church St., Bethlehem

8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday
Drop box will be available until 8 p.m. on Nov. 7, Election Day.

Voters must to make sure their mail-in ballot is enclosed and sealed in the yellow secrecy envelope and that there are no identifying marks or symbols on the outside of the yellow envelope and that the white return envelope is signed and dated on the back in the designated boxes.

County officials remind voters to make sure their mail-in ballot is enclosed and sealed in the yellow secrecy envelope and that there are no identifying marks or symbols on the outside of the yellow envelope.

Additionally, voters need to make sure the white return envelope is signed and dated on the back in the designated boxes.

Voters may not drop off any ballots other than their own without filing a Certification of Designated Agent form at the Elections Office.
