EASTON, Pa. - Gwen Walz will kick off a campaign tour of Pennsylvania on Monday with a stop in the Easton area.
Details have yet to be made public on the visit by Walz, the first lady of Minnesota and spouse of Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz.
Easton will be among two campaign stops Monday, with the other in Chester County.
With mail-in voting underway in Pennsylvania, she’s expected to encourage people to vote early and return their mail-in ballot immediately, according to a campaign advisory.
Campaign stops are scheduled Tuesday on a bus tour in Harrisburg, Altoona and Pittsburgh.
As first lady of Minnesota, Gwen Walz has been an advocate for the LGBTQ community, as well as on issues of education in prisons and criminal justice reform.
Gwen Walz is a teacher who was born and raised in Minnesota. She and Gov. Tim Walz have been married for 30 years and have two children, Hope and Gus.
She spent more than two decades serving as an administrator and coordinator in the Mankato area public schools.

Tim Walz was in the Lehigh Valley on Sept. 21 when he held a campaign rally at Freedom High School.
