Gov. Tom Wolf has a message for those watching Pennsylvania’s election. He says he will fight every attempt to disenfranchise voters - and that includes efforts made by the president.

“(Donald) Trump's campaign filed a lawsuit to stop the counting of ballots in Pennsylvania. That is simply wrong. It goes against the most basic principles of our democracy,” said Wolf.

The Trump campaign claims without evidence that there’s a lack of transparency in Pennsylvania’s ballot counting process.

Wolf pushed back against those assertions and pointed to the live stream of Philadelphia officials counting votes.

“Let me be clear: In Pennsylvania, every vote is going to count. I’m going to fight like hell to protect the vote of every Pennsylvanian. I will do everything within my power to make sure that the results are fair, and that every vote is counted. PA will have a fair election, and that election will be free of outside influences.”

Well ahead of Nov. 3, the state's top election official Kathy Boockvar had cautioned the public that it would likely take several days to count all the votes, including 3.1 million mail-in ballots.
