Caitlin Hamlin, manager of the Easton and Phillipsburg Area Initiatives at the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, said Easton PA VegFest 2023 is expected to be the biggest iteration of the event yet.
“This is a huge one for us,” Hamlin said. “This year, it's really great because we'll be playing off of the Easton Farmers Market right next door at Scott Park. So this is a really, really big one; we're working with the Farmers Market team to make it bigger and build that flow. In previous years, we've had upwards of 3,000 guests, and we're hoping in tandem with the market, we’ll at least be able to double that this year.”
While the focal point of the festival is a vegan and vegetarian base, Hamlin said the event is open for all, including those who are seeking out businesses that strive for wellness, holistic benefits and eco-friendly elements.
With the market right next door, both vendors and guests will have easy access to some of the best produce the Lehigh Valley has to offer.
“Easton, you're very much city-living, but there's so much that Northampton County has to offer in terms of the farms and eating fresh and living well, so I think that's a huge aspect of it, and especially pulling from with the farmers market right next door and some of our own vendors. You know, it's really well-rounded that way and showcases all that our region has to offer,” Hamlin said.
