Investigators are asking residents in the area of 11th and Church Streets to check their cameras for any video evidence of a shooting on Monday, Sept. 1, 2025.

EASTON, Pa. — A 14-year-old has been charged in the Monday shooting of a teenager in the city, officials announced.

"Prompt and thorough investigation by Easton Police led to the identification of the shooter," Northampton County District Attorney Stephen Baratta said in a new release.

The alleged shooter was not identified.

Earlier Tuesday, city police announce they were searching for three teenage males connected to the shooting, in which a 17-year-old male was shot.

According to a release, officers responded to North 11th Street at 5:28 p.m. for a report of a shooting, and in the 1100 block of Spring Garden Street found the victim with a gunshot wound.

The teen was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is expected to survive, the release said.

Police say evidence of a shooting was found at 11th and Church Streets, and three teenage males wearing dark clothing and black masks fled from the location, possibly toward Northampton Street.

Investigators are asking residents in the area to check their home cameras for any video evidence of the incident.

Anyone with information pertaining to the shooting is asked to contact detectives at 610-250-6656 or the tip line at 610-250-6635.
