On Valentine's Day, a market with a little love for everyone
EASTON, Pa. - Flowers, food and chocolate for everyone.
That's what's on tap Tuesday at Easton Public Market, which is normally closed Tuesdays but will be selling special holiday treats and gifts this Valentine's Day.

“For some of our vendors, Valentine’s Day is a very important part of their business year,” said Megan McBride, Easton's market district director.
Vendors like Chocodiem and Mercantile Outpost will be selling traditional Valentine’s Day favorites like chocolate and flowers from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Other stores will have limited hours, some closing as early as 4 p.m. Silvershell will be selling oysters, shrimp and lobster until 5 p.m. for those who might want to cook up a romantic (or aromantic) dinner with herbs from the Highmark Farmstead.
“Several other vendors see benefits in opening up on a holiday and also want to be supportive of their colleagues," McBride said. "We encourage folks to shop local on Valentine’s Day and support independent businesses in their community.”
McBride also said an announcement will be made Tuesday of the winner of a $200 gift card via the "Share the Love" photo contest. Runners-up get $50 and $25 for second and third place.
