EAST ALLEN TWP., Pa. — State police say an arrest has been made in the theft of two outdoor air conditioner units at HanoverView Animal Hospital.
According to court records, Kyle Anthony Kleintop, 36, of Wind Gap, has been charged with theft by unlawful taking, criminal trespass, possession of an instrument of crime with intent, receiving stolen property, trespassing by motor vehicle, criminal mischief, driving with a suspended or revoked license and a suspended vehicle registration.
The charges include six third-degree felonies and three first-degree misdemeanors.
According to a release, troopers were dispatched to the HanoverView Animal Hospital in East Allen Township on Monday for the report of two exterior commercial air conditioner units that had been stolen during the overnight hours.
The air conditioner units were broken into several pieces and loaded into a vehicle, a release said.
The animal hospital took to social media and asked the community for help identifying the thief or thieves involved.
Hospital staff said it added security cameras during a recent renovation and were able to capture video footage of the theft.
“We are currently working with the police (who are currently at the hospital — so do not be alarmed if you see them)," the Facebook post said Monday.
"Please be extra kind to our staff. It is warm in the building and we are working to get new units installed as soon as possible.”
Kleintop was taken to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail, according to court records.
