SALISBURY TWP. — A man whose body was found in a field near Salisbury Elementary School on Friday morning has been identified.

David M. Kittredge, 37, of Salisbury Township was pronounced dead at 7:24 a.m. in a field on the 1400 block of Gaskill Avenue, Lehigh County Coroner Dan Buglio said in a news release Saturday.

The release said an autopsy was conducted Friday, and a ruling on the cause and manner of death are pending further investigation and the results of toxicology studied.

Property records indicate the field on which Kittredge was found is school property.

Salisbury School District Superintendent Lynn Fuini-Hetten did not respond to a call seeking more information.

Township police, District Attorney Gavin Holihan, the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, Pennsylvania State Police and the coroner's office are conducting an ongoing investigation, Coroner Dan Buglio said.
