ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Two Allentown men accused of killing another last month near Center City were ordered by a county judge to stand trial on homicide and other charges.
Jason Gonzalez, 25, and Garfield McLean Jr., 30, were charged with homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide and illegally possessing a firearm after a 24-year-old man was killed Oct. 1.
Lehigh County District Judge Jacob Hammond, after a preliminary hearing Tuesday, ordered Gonzalez and McLean to face trial on all charges.
Gonzalez also faces a misdemeanor charge of recklessly endangering another person because authorities said a second person was put at risk of death or seriously bodily injury during the shooting.

Authorities allege Gonzalez and McLean fatally shot 24-year-old Jahlik Colon, of Berks County, at an apartment in the 100 block of North Eighth Street.
Colon died from multiple gunshot wounds; the other person was almost struck by bullets, according to authorities.
Allentown police said they were called to the site of the shooting and found Colon, suffering from gunshot wounds, laying in the doorway of an apartment building.
Colon died from multiple gunshot wounds and the Lehigh County Coroner ruled his death was ruled a homicide.
Allentown police used city surveillance cameras and license-plate readers to track a vehicle that fled from the area of the shooting.
Footage showed a man, later identified as Gonzalez, running to and from the car at the time of the shooting, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.
McLean is accused of driving the getaway car.
