BETHLEHEM, Pa. - This weekend marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. President Joe Biden is expected to visit Shanksville, Somerset County, on Saturday, the site of the Flight 93 crash.

There are also commemorative events happening in the Lehigh Valley.

In Lehigh County, a 9/11 remembrance service at Calvary Moravian Church in Allentown will include prayer and quiet reflection.

And in Upper Macungie Township, the annual Community 9/11 Remembrance Service, will be held at the Good Will Fire Company No. 1 in Trexlertown.

For those looking for events in Northampton County Saturday: there’s a “Never Forget” walk and parade in Easton

There’s also the fifth annual Bridles & Badges event hosted by the Bethlehem Mounted Police, at which musicians from area high schools will pay tribute to those who died 20 years ago.

And all month long there is a free 9/11 exhibit at the Allentown Public Library

On Friday, Sept. 10, local universities are also hosting ceremonies: Kutztown University will have a bagpipe tribute and Desales University will honor former student Daniel Gallagher, who was killed in the attacks on the World Trade Center.
