WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. — Believe it or not, beautiful Coco has been waiting five long months to find a loving home.
A purebred Chocolate Labrador Retriever who weighs around 95 lbs., Coco came to Peaceable Kingdom (PK) from a puppy mill where she spent most of her life either pregnant or raising puppies.
Because of this, when she arrived, she didn’t quite know how to be a normal dog. However, in her time with us she has transformed and has learned to walk without pulling, to play, and to enjoy car rides.
She has gone on multiple adventures to parks and on hiking trails where she enjoyed exploring and sniffing.
While Coco likes active adventures, at 6 years old, she also enjoys her down time and keeps herself busy chewing on bones.
She makes an excellent lounging buddy. is affectionate, friendly, and welcomes everyone into the shelter with a big smile.
Coco doesn’t want to share a home with other dogs, but you can’t really blame her after she raised so many puppies.
Also, because Coco is a big girl, a home without young children would be ideal.
We are desperately hoping that Coco’s time at PK is over soon. It breaks our hearts to think that after years of birthing litter after litter of puppies who ultimately found homes that Coco hasn’t found a home of her own.
Coco’s adoption fee has generously been sponsored by Trisha Lutteroty with Keller Williams Group.
Visit our website to learn more about Coco or stop by PK noon to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, to meet her.
