WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. — After a long-anticipated wait, The Cheesecake Factory is set to open the doors of its new location at Lehigh Valley Mall next Tuesday.
Just under a week shy of Christmas day, the restaurant is bound to see plenty of traffic from last-minute holiday shoppers this season when they start dishing out favorites such as Ahi Poke Nachos, Macaroni and Cheese Burgers and, of course, legends such as the Classic Basque Cheesecake.
"We look forward to opening our doors at 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 19 and welcoming in our first guests," Alethea Rowe, senior director of public relations at The Cheesecake Factory, said in an email.
According to a Tuesday news release from the company, The Cheesecake Factory’s signature menu will include more than 250 selections freshly prepared from scratch, and more than 30 of its beloved cheesecakes.
The popular dine-in chain is the only restaurant company to be named to the Fortune “100 Best Companies to Work For” list for 10 consecutive years.
The Lehigh Valley Mall location went all-out in hiring 270 of what it said are “passionate and hospitality-minded staff members” to prepare and serve a lengthy list of fan-favorite dishes.
Toward the end of summer, the restaurant began listing job opportunities on its website for the Lehigh Valley location, drawing plenty of attention to those looking for kitchen work.
Representatives for the chain said the new location will take up more than 8,900 square feet for indoor dining, alongside more than 1,200 square feet for patio dining.
According to a release from the company, it owns and operates 328 restaurants throughout the United States and Canada under brands including The Cheesecake Factory and North Italia, and a collection within the Fox Restaurant Concepts business.
Internationally, 31 The Cheesecake Factory restaurants operate under licensing agreements.
